Thanks for the offer to help. But I already ordered a balancer from GMPD. When I ordered the PS pump, I asked about a balancer because I had my suspicions about the health of mine. He said there was only one in the computer, and I know the L27 and L67 used different pulleys. So I wasn't gonna bet that was the right one.

Out of curiosity, what could you find for my 92 L67?

Mine had to be replaced a few months ago...and even the Pontiac dealer gave me the wrong part number the first time I called.

The correct part number for the '92 SSE s/c or SSEi is 88960259, and according to the dealer, this part is for the '92 only. It was the right part for my '92 SSE s/c.

According to the dealer, the part number for the '93 and '94 SSEi is 88960265.

Phew, thanks for the updated number. That saved me $50 and having an inferior part.

Put in my shiny new balancer today. Runs quiet and smooth.

It didn't examine it to closely. But the only diference I saw in the redesigned part was shiny paint and smaller slots for the puller. Whatever, as long as it doens't rattle. ;)
