Default cruise control

Where do I find the cruise control on a 96 pontiac bonneville SE???????
I do not have any cruise. Hopefully something simple.
Thanks

Did you ever have cruise or did it just go out?

First thought would be to check vacuum lines going to various sensors and modules under the hood....

I have replaced all of the vacume lines that run right in the front of the engine.
I read in a different post the there is a cruise modulator just under the throttle body.
and in another post, I read that there is some kind of cloth in the servo module, that could be broken.
Anyone know anything about these 2 items???????
I read them in the a post for a 03 bonneville.
I have a 96 SE

Ok I know you have a 96 and this thread here is for a 98 but the two years have very little differences

Look for the pdf on cruise control and read it through

I would check the cruise control brake pedal switch to make sure is isn't stuck in a "on" position. My '92 has the cruise control vacumn lines connected to it.
