crazy gas guage
i have a 1994 sse that i just bought and the gas guage is kinda flaky and shows all levels of fuel even after i top off the tank how do i fix it .....i have heard that it could be corrosion built up on the risistor wire on the sending unit in the tank please help
Okay dude, Here'* what'* up.
1. Pop the trunk.
2. Get in.
3. Look way forward in the corner by the seat on the passenger side.
4. Move stuff until you see the wires going into the floor.
5. Right there by those wires, Hooked to the shiny metal peice is a wire. Unhook it.
6. Now your guage doesn't work at all.
7. Clean that wire and the spade connection.
8. Put it back together.
9. Yay! it works!
10. Have a beer.
BTW, Where are you in H-Town? I've been all the way around the 440.
