Default Cranks Long Before Starting

When its cold out, my Bonneville cranks and cranks before it starts. Usually takes 30 seconds of cranking. Is there anything wrong that takes forever to start? The plugs and wires are a year old. One of the coils is a new replacement. Once it starts it runs fine. Thanks!

What year and trim is your car?

Also; please add the year and trim to your signature file. It will help us help you with all future posts. There is a quick lesson on adding to your signature file in the Introduction For New Members area in the 'Sticky'.

Could be a weak spark, or low fuel pressure. Test the pressure first. If that checks out, try a can of seafoam. Suck 1/3 can in to a vacuum line near the throttle body and the other 2/3 car in the fuel tank. I've seen this correct a many problems. Also check and make sure you don't have plug wires laying on a ground.

Sounds good. Now I mentioned one coil pack was replaced. The others look original. You guys think they are wore out as well? About 158k on this car.

I wouldn't think that the coils are weak when cold. If anything I'd believe the opposite, have zero proof other than a hunch though.

Fuel pressure according to the FSM says 48-52 key on engine off, key moved to on a number of times a achieve the highest reading. That'* a brand new pump reading though and realistically 45 is acceptable. 40 isn't what I'd call bad, but when the pump heats up it can drop a bit and much under 40 you'd have some running issues popping up soon.

Well the FP seems good. The first key on ign off read at 49psi and slowly went down to 43psi. I did it a few more times and it was around 45psi and holding. At idle it stayed above 40psi even during throttle.
One more update, the colder the temperature is, the more cranks it takes.
Any other suggestions?

I'm going to go with weak spark. Check the plugs and gap, test the wires.
