Ya my dad didnt know the difference and he put the green stuff in my 1999 Grand Am which of course was supposed to use the Dexcool and he mixed them and I think we had to get teh intake manifold replaced because of that. And the coolant bottle had to be replaced because it was cracked for some reason. Maybe the chemicals mixed made it bust?

Holy crap. Its like $6-7 at Auto Zone and $4.96 at wal-mart for dexcool.

I went to Meijer [super walmart equivilant I guess], and they didn't have Dex cool, but they had some Prestone which was $11/3.8L. And I went to walmart, and they had dexcool for $15/3.8L. Guess crap is expensive here. Oh well, converting would have been a bad idea from what you guys are saying.

My Alero has the 3400 and its a 2002, sittin around 30K miles right now. I added a quart of dex cool to the tank as it was low when i bought it, hasn't dropped since..
