Default Considering buying 94 SSEi with problems

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums. I have an opportunity to buy (cheap) a 94 SSEi that is having a problem staying running. I did use the search function, and I tried many different word combinations in attempts to find what I was looking for. Alas, I came up with no solid answer.

The problem as described by the owner is as follows: When attempting to drive, the engine dies. Sometimes, it will start back up. Other times, it has to be left for some time in order to be able to start again. It has just under 200k on the clock.

Any ideas? I was thinking a bad ground or crank sensor, but I figure someone out there has had this exact problem before.

Thanks!

considering the problem described, and the price, i would be all over it.

i would check the fluids first, make sure theres no flakes in the oil, and no major gunk on the rad cap. but id say go for it.

Check the fuel pressure. That'* a classic sign of a failed fuel pump.
