Default Coil pack gone?

Two hours into a four hour trip my car suddenly started running terribly along with a check engine light. It feels like it'* running on only four or five cylinders. I washed a bunch of antifreeze out from under the hood earlier in the day. Would this fry a coil pack? Even after several hours? I'll have to test them tomorrow to check. Man, if it isn't one thing it'* another.

The dealer told me to check the module that the coil sits on top of as well. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

You should check out the tech info article on testing coilpacks. You just take a ohm meter of some kind and check the resistances along the terminals.
I had a coil pack go bad a while ago and the mechanic tried to make me pay for a new module. pssshhh. i just put a new coil on there and it was working fine.

Default module

Most shops cannot reliably check modules.
Its best to take a second used one and swap it.
The terminal connector can cause you problems also.
Make sure the connector terminals are clean and tight.

I checked the coil packs today and when I took the 1-4 pack off you could smell the burnt windings. Upun further inspection, you could see that it blew out right through the casing. This doesn't seem water induced to me, just a nasty coincidence. I'll go and get a replacement coil pack tonight after work and hopefully all my troubles will be over.

New coil pack in, troubles gone. Nothing $90 couldn't fix.

Tell me you didn't spend $90 on a coil?

I don't know what coil packs cost in the states, but here in Edmonton they're 89 bucks at the dealership.
