After the work that was done on my car with the UIM replacement and whatnot, my check engine light has been on. I got the codes read today and this is what they found.

P0507- "The PCM has determined that the engine RPM is higher than expected for the current engine operating conditions".

The guy said that the car idles a bit higher than normal. I see it idling at 1000-1100 RPM most the time.

P0300 - "Multi cylinder random misfire"

The guy said the occasional misfire could be due to the higher idle.

What do you think? Any other things that may be causing this?

First thing is I'd check for any vacuum leaks. Double check evap lines etc, PCV cap.

Also.. triple check the firing order and injector electrical connections to be on the right injectors.

Eric, as I recall, you had a high idle BEFORE the UIM swap?
(apologies for not getting back to you, my PM box is swamped).

Another thing to check is the o-ring on the IAC. That'* the round cylinder in your TB that controls idle. If air leaks past the o-ring, it'll hold a higher idle.
