We just replaced both sensors!!! Code reader says p0134 02 sensor circuit No activity detected, in both "pending codes" and freeze codes (bank 1 sensor 1). I have driven car less then 3 miles sience o2'* were replaced-when "check engine " light came on. The print out say'* " a pending trouble is a problem the computer has detected by on board computer that meets criteria to set permanant trouble code BUT no longer appears to be present. IF the problem is not seen again, the code will be deleted after approx 40 warm up cycles. So do I have a problem or not? Do i wait until I have started the car 40 times and it should go off- of if it stays on then i have a problem. Im confused!!
I dont want to drive it if im going to screw anything up and risk further problems. Parts are a pain in the $%# to get. Thanks. :?

You could also disconnect the negative battery terminal from the battery and leave it off for a few minutes. That should reset any trouble codes in the PCM'* memory.

I think the PCM doesn't listen to the oxygen sensor until the sensor is hot enough, so you might have to let the car warm up to operating temperature to see if the PCM throws any more related codes.

Or use a scantool to clear the codes.

Yeah, I guess that'd be the easy way Since I don't have a scantool, that didn't occur to me!

To make sure the batter disconnect trick works, try 30 minutes. Reconnect scantool, and verify codes are clear. Drive the car for a day or two, and check again.
