Default Code 55

i just pulled a code 55 (exhaust gas regulator fault EGR solenoid #3) Is there a way i can fix these of do i need a new EGR or can i just clean it? and is solenoid 3 still in the EGR it self?

According to my '92 FSM, code 55 is set when the large solenoid test fails 3 out of 5 times. Sounds like you need to clean the EGR. I know a few others on here got similar codes, and cleaning did the trick for some.

now is there any special way to clean it kind like kind of gasket i might need to replace, im pretty sure i dont need to watch out for any thing but just want to double check.
