code 41- cam sensor circuit
i checked for codes on my 92 (because the light cam on after ******* the engine for a few miles). and i got this code, but i don't know what to do about it since i haven't got a manual yet. Was wondering if anyone knew the fix off hand.

If your cam sensor is indeed bad, you're going to be tearing into the timing chain cover. Time to get a manual.
The crank sensor SOMETIMES can throw this code out there, and even the ICM in rare cases. I'd clear the code for starters with a battery disconnect for 30 minutes. See if it comes back.

You are operating in default mode without a cam sensor. Your injector timing pulses are off. You'll notice it in fuel mileage. And slightly decreased performance.

I just tried to get my cam sensor off. After unscrewing the bolt the sensor assembly just rotates. I image that I could pry it off, but thought I should double check with people who have done it before... I don't know if there is a locking groove or maybe there is just a strong rubber seal that is holding it in :?:

I am having the same problem, but it is intermittent. The car kicks that code right away, and will die all of a sudden at idle or just as I am taking off. I thought this may be because of idling issues with a larger cam, but could the cam sensor cause the same issues?
