The DTCs are listed here.

however 58 isn't listed. my other sources don't list a 58 either.

I don't have any experience with the park/neutral switch, but i can tell you the first thing i'd do is unplug it, blow off the dust, and plug it back in. Then unhook the negative battery terminal for somewhere around and hour to clear the codes, then start the car up and see if it sets the code again.

The switch is located on the left hand side of the engine, on top of the transaxle.

If you have a tech-1 scanner, i can pm you a diagnostic chart for code 31, but it'* not much use without the scanner.

i don't know about that.

but it looks like code 31 can be set by accidently trying to start your car in gear 3 times in a row---like if it stalls and you try to start it three times while forgetting to put it in park. I'm not sayin this is your case, just a possibility.

okay it should not make your car shake at high speeds, and certainly not in park. The PCM automatically assumes D4 when code 31 is present, so you won't be able to restrict the transmission by shifting into drive or 2 or 1, it will still shift up as you accelerate.

I don't have anything better for the Code 31.

The code 58 can sometimes be set if the Pass-key system tells the PCM that the resistor code in the key is not there. Do you have a second set of keys? I would try using the other key, the resistor on the one you're using may be dirty.

Ken, your shaking is your broken transmission mount and balljoint. Ignore the codes for now. They're minor.
