Default Climate Control Question:

Here'* the deal. I bought a climate control from a guy on this board. I just went out to install it a few minutes ago, and was pulling out the old one when I saw that there was a vacuum hose missing. It was on the #3 spot on the selector switch (floor, defrost, etc.). Could anyone tell me if there'* supposed to be a vacuum line there? I don't see one hanging anywhere, but I'm going back out to look now. I'll check this post in a bit and update if necessary. Thanks for any help. This is on a '94 SE w/manual climate control.

so you have the manual knobby CC and you are replacing it with a nother knobby CC. there should be a Vacuume on the last one on the right, that is the one the controls the where the air is directed

So all 6 positions are supposed to be filled, correct? #3 is missing the vacuum line, which sounds like the one you're describing. That would explain why the climate control isn't directing the air. Where does that particular vacuum line originate from?

Cool. I just hope someone can help me within the next hour, otherwise I'll be getting ready for work and the car will be in pieces when it goes into the shop tomorrow. :(

This is from a 93 parts car:

There is one nipple that doesn't have a vacuum line.

Well, the new climate control didn't solve the problem. Are there any fuses or specific vacuum lines (other than in the back of the control unit) that I should check to see if they're hooked up?
