climate control
i got a 94 ssei. it flashes when i start the car, or just have the switch on, i found the diagnostics for 88-93, does the 94 have a different procedure? i replaced the air mix actuator today but still it is flashing, any one have any ideas? thanks
On a '92, to get the codes out:
turn ignition on
press ECC "off" & "temp up" simultaneously
codes should come up on the display.
code "66" means low freon
press "off" for next code
Press "off" a couple of times to take it out of the code disply mode.
LMK if there are other codes

Yes, 94 is a differnt procedure. It'* an obd 1.5 year. This means most OBD2 scanners won't read engine codes. You need one that specifically would.
And the climate control, I doubt you can see them with a regular scanner or pull them from the climate control on your own.

the procedure bob described above does work on my 93 ssei, but the 94 does not respond to any of the three buttons ive tried, i do have a code reader its the auto xray 2500 but it will not read the codes from abs system or the hvac system
My understanding is that you cannot read the HVAC codes. That is a dealer item. When you replaced the air mix actuator was it new or salvage? I just replaced mine (95 SSEI) and the first one was from a j/y and I failed to realize that if you can move the lever it is broken.
it was one from my 96 se , i know it worked plus i took it apart and made sure the gear was not broke, my heater works now, before it was stuck on hot, but with the flashing it tells me somethings not right i was just wondering what it is, every thing seems to work though
