Were your tails as easy to clear as clearing corners are? Is it basically just popping out the red and orange pieces once you get it open? I want to make the orange piece red.

The main housing is easier than the corner lamps. No glue, just tabs and sealer of some sort, like caulk, but black. The trunk lights should be as difficult as the corner lamps.

I thought the corner lamps were easiest.

I tried taking the tails apart before. I noticed the black caulk type stuff, and the tabs. I tried taking it apart but I was afraid I would break the tabs off, so I stopped before I did. I'll try again.

EDIT: Did you just un-do the clips? It seems like the black caulk is holding it together more than the clips :? I can't seem to get it apart.

Yeah, it took me about 10 minutes to loosen up the black stuff. Now I have some sweet tails. Before only the bulb was red. Now all the plastic is red. Just took 2 layers of red tint film.
