Default Clarification of OBD 1.5 on 95 bonneville se

I have a 95 bonneville that has the OBD 2 port but when I hook up my Craftsman obd 1& 2 scan tool it will not connect. I did not realize that it may have obd 1.5 and my scan tool will not work. I read the sticker next to the radiator and it does not say obd 2 certified, so I an assuming it is 1.5. Can anyone firm this and if so can I make a connect that will allow my current scan tool to work or do I need to buy another one? Is there an inexpensive 1.5 scan tool that will work? This pontiac is the only vehicle that maybe 1.5 all the other are either 1 or 2. Thanks

I use the Actron Cp 9145 scanner. Prices vary from around $65.00 to about $200.00 depending on how complete the kit is. I got mine with all the cables and case for about $100.00 a few years back off Ebay. You just have to keep checking. Ebay and Amazon are good sources. It works with both my obd 1.5 vehicles.
