Default Need Urgent Help With TPS Connector Wiring!!!!

Need help with TPS connector wiring. The car is a Series 1, 1995 SSEi. A friend was helping me when I was troubleshooting the car. The TPS connector needed to be replaced and he spliced the new one to the harness and threw away the old connector. I am getting a P0123 code and the car will not go to overdrive. Also, when I check the voltage to adjust the TPS range, all the readings on the voltmeter are in the minus (-) range. Right now the TPS reads -0.57 volts on idle and -4.47 volts with the throttle wide open.

I need to know the wire colors for positions A, B and C for the OEM connector and harness. The replacement connector has different colors. A picture would also be useful too.

Thanks!!!

1995 VIN 1,L TPS wiring:
Cavity....color...function...CKT #
A...BLK...sensor ground...808
B...DK BLU...TPS sensor signal (to PCM)...417
C...GRY...+5v reference...416

The book is showing cavities A & C reversed for VIN K. Not too sure what the heck that is.

Thank you for the assistance, however, I would like for someone that owns a 1995 SSEi to take a look at their connector, wire colors and location and let me know. I have the Blue and Black color, however the third wire is not gray on the original harness.

Default UPDATE!!!!! On TPS Wiring Problem!!!!

After finding the old OEM TPS connector, I found the problem with the P0123 code on my 1995 SSEi.

The wire colors do not match the OEM Wiring Diagram in function and/or color. Cavity "A" is Gray, "B" is Dark Blue and "C" is Black just like a VIN K engine and not a VIN 1. So, I swapped the "A" and "C" wires and the P0123 code dissapeared and now the car runs fine. The replacement conector has the correct wires cavity location and colors in accordance to the wire diagram

However, now when I check the TPS voltage, I show 4.47 vdc for idle and 0.45 vdc for WOT!!! ...and...the voltage still shows as a minus (-) voltage even with a $1,500 Fluke voltage meter!!!

Can anyone explain what the heck is going on????

Warning this test should set a check engine light.

Clip the voltmeter ground lead to a good ground point on the motor like the alternator.
Now probe more than one 12 volt source to verify your meter is working properly and that you have +12 voltage.

Then unplug the TPS plug turn ignition to run and probe all three pins and see what voltage you have.

I have a 95 SSEi. I'll check it after work tomorrow and post a pic if I can remember the camera.
