Hey, its a longshot but worth taking the minute to check it.
as far as i know, that'* a ford only design. and a poor one at that, i've seen more than one fail and cause a no-start for no reason other than that switch got bumped.

haughty - Check your oil level. The oil level switch (level not pressure switch) is wired into the fuel pump circuit on some of these cars. If you give me the engine VIN code I'll post a wiring diagram tonight.

PS - If the oil level is good make sure the switch is plugged in & or bypass the switch.

Here'* a wiring diagram that shows the fuel pump for a VIN K engine. Fuel pump & relay are shown in the lower right. If everything is working properly it looks the fuel pump should run as long as the key is on & the engine has enough oil. My best guess is that after the engine is running the PCM will energize the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump will get power even if the oil level is too low. I guess they don't want engines turning themselves off & possibly causing an accident. So there is a fuel pump relay but it'* not needed unless the oil level is low. So if the oil level is good I would check the switch & make sure power is getting to the switch while the key is on.
