CHECK symbol engine
Greetings,
I have just purchased a 1995 black Bonneville SSE with 160,000 miles. I'm a pretty rookie with cars, so when a problem occurs I have to start with the manual.
I have a warning-light that stays on with 'check' and next to it is a symbol that looks like an engine.
I went through the manual completely but could nowhere find the meaning of this message.
Does anyone know what this means?
Thanks,
Paulus

Your car'* computer is saying 'I'm sick.' To find out why, you have to connect the appropriate code reading device to the connector in your car. Mine is under the steering column. Most good shops will have a code reader. Until you find out what the code is and what it means, any attempts at troubleshooting are something like searching for a BB in a darkened gymnasium while blindfolded.
