Default Check engine

My check engine light has been coming on since around the same time I had to replace my intake plenum. I had the code read by Advance Auto. I received the following code.... P0361
Ign System Problem
Elec Spark Timing
EST Not Toggling

The car is running fine. What should I do?

Disconnect your battery for about an hour, and see if the codes come back.

Default checking it out

I have a 95 SE. I unplugged the battery for an hour or more and now I am going to drive it to work and see if it comes back.

Probably the cam or crank sensor, or the associated wiring. Just a guess on my part. That sound right to the rest of you OBD2 folks?

The ignition control module is not sending the correct signal over to the PCM when the engine is started. Your engine is running on module mode timing instead of PCM control. Check the white wire on the end of the ignition control module for a short. There may also be a problem with one of your sensors, as willwren mentioned.

Under your coils. Please don't just shotgun it. That'* an expensive part. Unless you can get one at a wrecker. Anything from 93-current will swap. From any 3800.
