Default "check doors" feature on a SE driver info center?

I was browsing my owners manual the other day and noticed that it lists the idiot light locations and what they say. In my owners manual it has a "check doors" where "check gages" is supposed to be. This is some kind of misprint right? I know the SSEs have the door moniter, but SEs dont right?

Page 2-60, look at the SE cluster in the Systems Moniter.

Looked at both of my manuals (97). I agree. The text shows "check doors." That particular light actually shows "check gages" on my SE. I've wondered the same thing (warning for an open door) on the SE. Think I'll do a real scientific test today; open a door and see what happens.

ill save you the trouble.....nothing happens. which i think is stupid. it would be kinda nice to know if you had a door open. little kids especially have trouble shuting doors. its stupid us SE owners got shortchanged on the gages.

Exactly. Nothing happened. There'* no warning when the trunk is ajar, either. Boo ~ hiss...

I don/t have that feature either on my SE. If a door happens to be ajar I just listen for the wind noise.

i just think its stupid we dont have any door ajar lights. i mean my mom almost ran over my little sister because she snuck out the back door and then my mom pulled forward a little bit and came way to close to running over her. a door ajar chime and light could have prevented this.
