Start by checking both battery cables on both ends. We've seen a lot of cars with corrosion. this lets enough threw to run lights and stuff, but not enough to turn over the starter.

If the tranny fluid is getting on the starter, ya, but you said you put a new starter on and there was no change. If you jump the car, will it crank?

I would check the battery cables, test them. I've seen several corrode inside the boot

If the battery cables test okay...then I would suggest installing a new starter solenoid.
