Car stalled *UPDATE*
I was driving to work today and my car stalled. Luckily I was only a few blocks from home. The car started dinging and the check guages light came on and the oil pressure guage was all the way down. I couldn't get it restarted at first. I checked the oil, it was about 2 quarts low. After about 10 minutes it started and ran fine. I got it home and took the truck to work and started the car again when I got home about 5 hours later and it seems fine. Any ideas what'* up with that? I just changed the oil about 1 month ago, and I don't think I have a leak. The car is hard to start sometimes, sometimes it takes two or three turns of the key. Battery is only a few months old, new plugs, new wires, and replaced one coil. I think the alternator is going, but could that be the problem? Battery holds it charge while driving, so I don't know what is going on. Had the charging system checked like three times, and one reading said the alternator was weak.

No blue smoke.
Oil pressure guage sits between 40 and 80, a little closer to the 40 side. The battery guage sits just short of the 14 volt.
No boost

Drove fine all week, then died on Sunday. Problem solved-fuel pump. $280 with parts & labor and she'll be good as new. Should have her back tomorrow.

OK, so I'm missing something here...
Didn't you say that your oil was down 2 quarts? What was the deal there? Or was there no problem there? :?:
