Car sometimes starts
Last Thursday the car did not start, there was no juice at all going to the car(the lights inside were dead as well as the radio.). My girlfriend suggested tightening the battery cables and the car started with no problem. We had the battery checked and it was completely fine. Yesterday the car wouldnt start but all the lights inside were fine, someone had to give me a jump. Could it be bad cables? I dont think it would be, because then no juice would get to the car. When the car had trouble starting in the last few weeks, when we pumped the gas it seemed to start after a few minutes. Anyone else have a similar issue. Im not sure if there is a simple answer.
Thank you.
Thank you.

That sounds like corroded battery cables.
Take the cables off the battery and remove the boots of the cables. Clean off any corrosion on the cable ends, bolts, and battery. use some die-electric grease if available to help prevent some corrosion in the future
When that is done, follow the battery cables to where they connect on the other end and remove / clean them also.
That usually solves many of the problems like this

You need to try that first, before we go any further in diagnosis.
Let us know what you find.
BTW, the easiest way to clean that corrosion off is to use some baking soda in water and a toothbrush or brass brush. If there is corrosion down under the cable casing, you will be better served to replace the cable. Likely it is your positive cable that'* the worst.

The positive cable did have a little corrosion on the bolt, which I cleared off with a wire brush before I reattached and tightend the cables, sorry I forgot the mention that. The negative one looked fine, so it looks like you are right. I may just replace the whole positive cable just to make sure I dont miss something. Thank you!

Yeah, I would just about bet that there'* corrosion under the boot on that pos. cable. You may want to pull that boot back and try soaking it in baking soda and water solution a couple times. If it isn't down under the cable coating, you'll save some money and swear words.
