Hi, I was sitting at a stop light yesterday, and my car just violently jumped foward. It stayed running and drove fine afterward. Does anyone have any clue what this may be? I haven't run any tests what-so-ever.
Keep in mind, about 2 months ago the tranmission slipped on me once. Havent had any troubles in about 3,000 miles until this.
Thanks!

I had a similar experience, and mine felt like the tranny disengaged, and slammed into gear.. but not violently. almost felt like putting a car in gear when the idle is too high. but at the time this happened to my car, It was already in gear, and i was stopped at a red light.
My friend said. I think your tranny is shot, but since then I have had no tranny troubles, an dmy fluid looks good as well.

Whats the TPS?
Throttle Position Sensor..
I'm thinking it'* either seeing an incorrect amount of air or a bad throttle position.
However I've asked for other gearhead/admin/mod input ... hopefully we'll have something for you soon.
