Kinda of a dumb question but wheres the main fuse relay? is the part under the hood near the wipers, also has anyone had the issue were the airbag light flashes a few time after the car starts, and the check engine light came on when i first started my car so i turned it the car off and restarted and it was off, this car is really getting to me time to retire the old girl. Im going to check my connections on my deck but i know i taped and soldered everything very well so i hope this works, thanks for all your help im really glad im a member here!

MaxiFuse, not main fuse. It'* under the hood, up against the firewall on the passenger side...

Well I just got my car back from the shop. They fixed nothing and charged me 70 dollars (scanning for codes). It seems to me it would have to be a short, or faulty ignition switch.
How could you tell if your switch is faulty but not completely broken?

Mike, it would help enormously to know what year and trim level you have. Can you put that in your signature?

Your problem sounds very much like a loose connection in the main power distribution as well. Most commonly one of the battery cable connections. Either a ground or positive, at the battery, or any other end of any of the main cables, including at the alternator.

Check for loose or corroded connections at both ends of each cable. The best method is to disconnect each supply and ground one at a time, clean both surfaces, apply a little dielectric grease, and reconnect. Your problem is 90% likely to be cured by this simple maintenance, and it should take you no more than 2 hours being meticulous.

I'm going to turn it over to someone with more time and hopefully more experience than me. Thanks for the advise.

Ok heres the situation car died again getting really pissed off, so i took it to the dealership, heres what got fixed and my car is still doing the exact same thing, heres the dealer report which i was given>

Check and clean, repair and tighten engine and pcm grounds. Engine stalled and would not restart when backing out of the shop, no crank rpm, no injector pulse or spark. replace crank sensor, engine now starts/ Roadtest, engine is cutting out,ses light is on, code P0321 and 1361 store, ignition control fault code. Substitute ignition module, condition is still the same, possible cam sensor, part coming. Replace cam sensor, also noticed wire harness over and thru front engine has deteriorated and freyed wires. Repair engine wire harness. Start engine and reroadtest, now ok.

Wiring- 390.00(6.5 hrs lab.)
Sen ASM= 48.76
Sensor- 66.68

The dealership is closed today until tuesday, i know the work was done beacuse my uncle owns this gm dealership, so im not sure what should be tried next any help would be great.

Mike..we would still like your year and trim level in your sig.

Look for more wires that are bad.

Just got mine back from the dealer with a new alternator. I started down the road, and there it goes again. I know I needed the alternator so I'm glad they installed it. But my main problem was still there.
Anyways after searching through some of the topics here I found some about Vehicle Anti Theft (VATS), which led me to my fuse panel..........suprise>>>( a blown fuse). A friend of mine has already laughed at me enough and believe me I feel like a dumb ***.
No security issues since and more importantly no cutoffs. Thanks for making information available.

Is my signature showing up?
