Personally.. if I was going to use anything on my hood or bumper.. I would go get those clear vinyl things that paste right over your hood ( completely ) and when done or need replacing.. simply tear it off and use another new one... you still get to keep the factory look.. protect your paint from the sun and element.. and will not scratch from rock debris.. unless it'* a boulder of course :? and creates an almost air tight seal thus not allowing any salt or crap to sit in between... I know they make them for Grand Ams and Gran Prixs.. haven't search to see if they made any for the Bonneville already..
