I went to work today and when I shut the car off my key wouldn't come out. It won't let me go all the way back. It'll go one past the aux. position but that'* it. The only thing I can think of is the neutral safety switch? I tried moving the gear selecter back and forth several times with no luck. Any thoughts?
It sounds like a new Ignition Cylinder is needed! BTW: if your car has a VATS key (Chip in key) then this going to be expensive since your going to need the Ignition Cylinder & 2 new keys to match the new VATS code!
If it'* any consolation, my ignition cylinder will not even go to the accessory position!
Try wiggling the gear shift in park while trying to pull the key out!

DeathRat, my keys don't have the chips in them. I'm not sure what year that Bonnies started coming with them, but I guess it was after 90 anyways. I tried playing with the shifter again but it still won't come back!?!? Then I got mad and just ripped the #(^@^&* key out. So now I don't have to worry about leaving my keys in the car anymore, cause now I don't even need keys to start it LOL. Problem solved hehe.

That happened a couple times on my last car. Basically the combination of wiggling the steering wheel back-and-forth, jiggling the key and slamming the shifer into park is what got it out for me. I can't remember the specific order, but it was probably different every time.
Rat is right, get yourself a new cylinder. If I remember right the part was only $30-40 plus an hour labor, so under $100. If you know your way around, you could try to do it yourself.

WOW! With a response like that I don't plan on heading down to Chicago any time soon PontiacFan
Makes it worth it to live a little ways in the country, I haven't locked my doors on the Bonny more then 10 times since I got it in Jan. Hell I haven't locked my front door in over a year.
