Default Can't find the problem....chapter 2

Ok all, still having trouble...
96 SE 6 cyl. 80300 miles.
Had hard strating problems and stalling, and a small "expolsion"..
This is what was done to repair.
Replaced:
Upper intake manifold
Upper manifold gasket set
EGR valve and gasket
valve cover set
Spark plugs
Plug wires
835972 Tensioner Pulley
5060940 Serpentine belt
4T60E Vacuum Modulator
Vacuum lines/hoses
Fuel filter
Oil change,filter,cooling system flush.
OK....
Still having start problems, and stalling when shifted into park, and stalling when de-cellerating.
When starting after sitting overnight starts right up, but after driving a while (when stalls, it starts right back up) when starting,it'* hard to start, and the techometer shows the engine revving by itself to 3000 RPMs before settling to a normal idle of just under 100o RPMs.
My mechanic has done every diagnostic test imaginable, and every thing reads normal.
Any input? The only other thing I can think of is the air filter. Help!
Thanks!

Has your mechanic checked the fuel pressure regulator? If he has.. mention that there was a recall on them. That can cause an explosion. Search on Zuper* as a user and you'll see what the explosion can look like from an FPR.

Default explosion

check and clean maf sensor. Check fuel pressure regulator. Check crankshaft sensor. Check idle air control valve. One of the guys from gp( id name cool97gtp) he should know. log on to clubgp.com and ask him or just post it over there. We asked him about one of our friends cars b/c it does the same thing and he said check and clean maf sensor.
