Well my car still has the code 41 "code 41: Cam sensor circuit loss of signal " Should i order a new one off gmpartsdirect.com? And also is this something is hould be able to do myself? If anyone knows of a post on here that i could use for reference that would be great, but if you think i should have someone else do it let me know. Thanks

Check to make sure that the CMP is connected solidly, also look at the connections to see if they are dirty. Otherwise if you go with a new one, you should be able to replace it yourself. There should be a few screws that hold it in place.

Remove the sensor, and turn the engine over with a ratchet on the crank pulley bolt until you see either a hole or black magnet on the cam gear. Magnet, probably need a new sensor, hole, get a new magnet.
