A / C question
does a 95 pontiac bonneville SE have a Orifice tube? and how often do they usually need to be changed, how would you tell if yours is bad (short of replacing it, any ways to see distinct syntonmns?)
My A/c hasnt worked in 6 years, when i inherited the car from my parents they told me a 800$ part is out (im guessing thats with labor). But with my luck with mechanics all it could of been was out of refridgerant, just trying to screw me out of alot of money.
I just gave the car a full charge of refridgerant that had condensor oil in it. The cars AC fan will turn on (the one on the radiator) when the car heats up, and off when it cools down, so that sensor is good. The Refridgerant took the charge, and doesnt seem to be any leaks
My friend told me now that ive charged it, only to run the AC for a few minutes at a time for awhile, as to not jam the clutch.
It there anything else i can replace / clean / do short of replacing the clutch or the condensor to figure out what is really wrong with the A / C. I want to avoid a shop at all costs, ive lost so much money going there just in labor alone, not to mention the money i spend for them to fix things they dont.
Anyway, yet again thanks for your help. Will take suggestions to heart.
Thanks!!!!
