I took the line off that provides the vacuum and plugged it (is that right?)
I dont know how to check if the climate control works (I get heat) but cruise control works fine.
Geez dealer wants $40.00 for the tank. Thank God for wreckers.

Try to see if you can get heat out of the dash vents, floor vents, and defrost. I'm betting the door won't move from where it'* currently located.
