my drivers side seat has a broken back and i was wondering if i could goto to a junkyard and get a seat does it matter the year of the seat or do i have to get a 1992 seat? and if not are the power seat plug the same though out the years?
Your seat will be compatible with all LeSabre'* from 92-94, maybe 95. The problem is that the LeSabre had about 4 different seat offerings, in 3 or 4 different colors.
Do you have the seat controls on the armrest, or on the base of the seat?
(yes folks, I know my LeSabre'*, too

), but needed only a replacement bolt in both cases. What'* up with yours?
I'm betting he sheared either that bolt (happened in my 93 Chevy pickup once, but there was a recall for it) or broke the tab that it goes through. If that'* the case, it could be welded.

Are the seat backs supposed to recline with a button (electrically) or a lever (mechanically)?
What I'm getting at here is it _might_ be possible to fix what you've got rather than having to buy an entire junkyard replacement. At worst, if you can replace only the broken/bent parts of the frame, you'll come out ahead of where you'd be if you had to buy an entire seat. I'm guessing that the seatback itself isn't bent, but the brackets or hinges at the bottom are damaged. If they're integral to the seat frame itself, you're SOL, but if you can get the bad stuff out, great.
Are you able to disassemble the seat at all? Is the passenger'* side equally bad? If not, maybe you can compare right and left sides to see which pieces are out of line.
