they still function but it scared her.when at a stop loght the car will start moving forward. when you push the pedal in to stop it goes in all the way. some times if you pump it it comes back but mostly not. the pads are good and fluid level good. could it be a bad booster?

Most likely a bad master cylinder. Did it ding a warning? Brake light come on? Don't drive the car until it'* fixed.

no lights or anything. just a spungy pedal. every now and then the traction and anit-lock lights come on at the same time.

Master cylinder. An easy fix, and fairly cheap.

Make sure to follow the directions and "bench bleed" it before you install it.
