Default brakes pull to one side

My bonneville pulls to one side initially when hitting the brakes. Is this a common issue with them, and what is the fix usually?

Steer the other way initially.

You may have a loose caliper or pad. That'* the most likely culprit.

Or you need to bleed your breaks.

I thought it most likely that I need to bleed the brakes, or that there was a caliper hanging up.

I remember on my parents 1990ish lumina, the rear brakes froze completely.

The brakes dont feel mushy.

You may have a caliper hanging up a little to, hard to say.
