Engine Cradle Rotted Out
I've got another dilemma with my Bonneville. I went under my 95 Bonnie tonight, and I see that the Engine Cradle is soft in spots. On the passengers side of the Engine Cradle someone welded it up on the lower side of the cradle. On the drivers side there are several soft spots in the craddle where I can poke my finger through where the craddle bolts to the car near ther lower drivers side of the floor board. Other than this the car is solid underneath with no major rust. Has anyone every seen anything like this before with the engine craddle rusting out. This posses a safety issue with the car now. What do you think I should do now? Do you think I should replace the engine craddle and drive the car?

Hrm... looks like you might be glad you live near me. I will be parting my 93 SSE in 2 weeks, and if the engine cradle is still good, throw a couple bucks my way and it can be yours. Might have to find a way to transport it from binghamton, NY though.
I personnally have not heard of it, but can see how it would happen.

I believe the engine craddle used on the 93 is different than the one used on the 95. The 95 has the series II engine in it, and uses completely different motor mounts than the 95 does. I believe 95 though 99 will fit it. Can anyone else chim in and varify this.

If Geoff'* isn't in good shape (Randman chime in here) Randman has one from his 90 that'* in good shape but I'm not 100% about the mount locations.
