My Bonnie is shaking at speeds of 55 mph when i get to a certain speed i duno what causes it but it worries me like my tranny is slipping or something because the whole care shakes wha coule it be?

It could be a variety of different things. What is the year & trim level? How many miles on the car? What is the condition of the tires? When was the last wheel balance or alignment? Sorry for all the questions, but if you provide more detailed info on the prob, you'll probably get more responses.

Could be a misfire on one cylinder.

I've officially decided this qualifies as a common problem. I have a 94 SE and mine does the same things, im still working on diagnosing, but i've narrowed it to bent rims and a cylinder misfiring (i'll post if i can identify that as the problem). My next step is to find some junkyard wheels, and use contact cleaner on all my electrical connectors under the hood (i've been told to pay attention to the fuel injectors.)--as that might be the reason the cylindar is misfiring

mine does the same thing, however when i let off of the throttle, then floor it, it wont do it, ill be getting a scan tool soon and ill post the results

My Bonnie was doing this last fall. Does the shaking usually start around 45-55MPH and happen frequently when going uphill? If you keep your foot on the accelerator but tap the brake with your left foot, does the shaking stop? If so, then you are experiencing "torque converter shudder." The torque converter is part of the transmission but the problem can be caused by several different factors. In my case the problem was solved by replacing the the spark plugs. They had 50,000 miles on them so they were due anyway!
