Default Big problems

well i was driving home the other night when all the sudden i felt a yank then the check engine light came on... later on as i was driving my rpm gauge went awall...going up and down pure hell the hole way home..the car kept yanking the whole way..so i took it to the dealership to get it scanned the computer wont scan..yes he used the right scanner idk whats going on when i shut the car off and turn it back on the cars check engine light shuts off and drives perfect then later on down the road it does it again...so i took it to my bros shop when the check engine light was on we reved it up to 2k and the throttle response was really loud sounded like it was suckin in more but no response threw the motor idk what to do anyone ever herd of this problem please help lol 1995 se

could it be the transmission with the 495 HP?

I'm going to have to say that you're going to have to be a whole lot more specific.

Yank doesn't mean anything to me. Tell us what the CAR did/is doing. As many specifics as possible.

(BTW, for the noobs here, his brother has an imaginary 95SESC with 495hp, he uses his brother'* login).

Were there noises associated with the yanking?

When you say yank...did it buck or yank?

Could you merely have a bad batch of fuel? The info you give is not enough to try and diagnose like said before.

car drives normal throught the day but sometimes the check engine light will come on and the RPM gauge goes insane bouncing up and down it makes the feeling of a bad fuel pump going out but wouldnt the fuel pump be consistant and always make the car run like crap i mean it runs perfect the magority of the day...all my dad says is fuel And Every pontiac dealership technician just looks amazed when they see wth the car is doin they cant scan the car cuase the codes wont pop up man idk wth to do.. when i mean yank its like the RPMS arnt matchin cuasin it to feel like its yankin i rolled my window down to listen to it it did a consistant yank in the motor sum1'* here bbl

maybe im just not drunk enought yet, but i read both posts twice, and im not sure what he is talking about still... the only thing i could determine could be the cause in my confusion would be either a TCC or Transmission problem

I believe that last post by 495hp guy takes the award for the longest sentence.

Try retyping what you said, but don't use the word "yank" and maybe try slowing down a bit and typing full words to minimize confusion.

The first step in diagnosing this is to get a scantool to communicate with the computer. You need to find out why the check engine light is on.

replaced fuel filter check. replaced spark plugs check.what are the side affects of a bad mass air flow sensor..and my car wont scan had it checked by the Ferguson pontiac Gm company..he tryed twice came upsome kinda error. guys im trying to be serious i use this site to help with my car not ***** and giggles if i cant fix it or my bro or dad cant i try my best to stay away from the dealership to expensive and u guys know ur cars and have prolly went threw some of the problems im having so help out instead of bein immature
