I must have the only harmonic balancer without the 3 bolt holes in it... there are 3 slots in my 95 SLE'* HB, and the slots give the appearance you might be able to put a 3-jawed puller into them and get it off that way, but not true.
I ended up with a couple of small blocks of wood between the HB and the engine to provide 2 leverage points (used "ucka-pucky", the sticky clay-like body sealant to kind of hold the wood blocks to the engine). Then I pried on the outside edges of the HB with brake adjusting tools while my neighbor buzzed away at the backed off HB center bolt with an air hammer set to about 60 psi air pressure. The HB slid off over a period of about 45 seconds, so be patient. All of this because there were slots, no bolt holes like every other car/truck I've ever had... go figure.

And...I know the above sounds sorta crude, but what the heck are you going to do? The good news is - that with care & patience this will work and you won't be replacing a torn-up HB.

Those three slots have threaded bolt holes just past the slots inside the balancer.
The puller should look like this:

Those fine threaded bolts go through the slots and into the hidden threaded holes.
I've got the same car as you so trust me.

Thanks for the heads up on the right way to do it... it will make a big difference if there is a next time, plus for others who make the wrong assumption like me, it will save a bit of frustration. Funny thing is, I have one of those pullers, just couldn't determine there were actually threaded holes back in there.... live and learn as they say!
