Default Belt Change?

Oh HELL no. Noticed I need a new belt and remember I have that STUPID TAM. Whats the easiest way to replace a belt dealing with the torque axis mount? Looks a little intimidating!

On your 93? There'* no interference with the TAM. Loosen tension and change belt.

95-99 S2'* are the tortured ones with the TAM.

Wait WHAT?! No way it just comes right out. The TAM will block it.....right? I'm confused... I gotta go check this out.

Not on a 92-94 NA or SCed. Only Series II 3800'* (NA from 95-99 and SCed from 96-99) are the lucky ones that get to deal with the belt wrapped around the TAM.

This is the exact topic that brought me to this forum. I was looking for information about changing out the belt and was confused by all the info saying that I'd have to remove some bolt even though I could see that was not the case.

Now after doing some reading here, I want the wife to leave the car at home for a few days while I play with the inards

Now that'* something to look forward to...my belt'* on it'* last miles and I just bought a new Gatorback last night...a little too rainy to put it on, but tonight'* the night. I'm glad I ran across this...I have a problem keeping my cool when I can't figure things out! Hahaha

That'* why I love this place.

Thanks Lash! Your help is more appreciated than you know.

Ya know, I was just at AutoZone last night, and looked right at their Haynes Manuals.
Did I get one? No. Didn't even think of it.
Absent minded at times? Yes.
