Never had to pay for new batteries. The old ones were always still under warranty. I actually did install a quick disconnect on the battery. Car starts great in the morning when I remember to use it. Die Hards are still a Johnson Control battery? Did not know that. Oh well, at least I'm not supporting Wal-Mart any more. The power antenna could be the culpret. It has difficulty getting it up (I usually have to pry it up a little to get it started.) Couldn't I just pull the fuse for it instead?

Try extending the antennae and then pulling the power supply so it stays up and off all the time.

Just an update. I did pull the antennea up and disconnect the harness from it. No more battery problems. Silly how something so inoxious could cause so many headaches.
