Default Automatic HVAC Controls

I have seen that some bonnevilles have automatic HVAC (set it and forget it) like a themostat in the home. Is it possible to take out the manual insert that I currently have and put an automatic one in?

Do you know somebody that has the automatic that lives close by? You'd have to check the harness connections. Sometimes GM puts 'em all in, whether you have the options or not. Be warned, with the automatic system, you'll have no control over which vents the air comes out of except windshield defrost. I could pull my auto HVAC this weekend and post a pic of the back if you'd like, then you can compare at your leisure.

The bonny'* with the electronic A/C also have an A/C control module behind the dash. With the manual ones, the pneumatic tubes come right up behind the control dials. But with the electronic one, it'* all electronic. You need a separate control box under the dash with the pneumatic valves. Also, I think in 95 they redesigned the electronic A/C to give you more control over where the air comes out.
