Default Automatic Headlights

Wondering if there is away to get your lights to turn on earlier.

Can you put your year and trim level in your signature by editing your profile? It'll help us to help you. Welcome to the Forum, btw.

Try putting a piece of window screen or something similar. Maybe even light fabric over the photoeye sensor. It'* the little flat disk on the left side of the dashboard top, with a little blue dot in the middle.

What do you do if your headlights almost never turn off?

Your photocell is weak. Replace it.

Thunder, the idea for you is to trick it into thinking it'* darker out than it really is. The ring on the HL switch only determines how long they stay on after you shut the car off. WHEN they come on is totally determined by the amount of light the sensor sees.

In this pic, you can see the sensor between the HUD hump and the Gtech.
