Default ATTN: Suspension guys, need help with noise. (FIXED)

Need some help with a noise that’* driving me nuts.
I’m having this clanking noise every time I slow to a stop.
The noise comes from the front of the car, on the left most of the time and the right sometimes.
I had just replaced the endlinks up front because the drivers side was broken.
After I replaced the endlinks the noise seemed to go away for a day but them it came right back.
I had the front and rear suspension looked at and everything else looks good.
Infact both of my Bonneville’* have this noise.
The noise happens whether I stop strait, stop turning left, or stop turning right.
This Applies to my 98 SSEi and my 95 SSE.

Anybody else have this problem or is this a Bonneville thing?

Thanks for your help.-toddster

did you even read what he wrote??

I'm sort of at a loss. Not sure what it could be. How tight did you go on the endlinks?

It happens 90% of the time. When I slow to a stop. Its not constent.
Had everything else looked at and found no failing parts.-toddster

Todd...clanking..over bumps? just stops?

Maybe strut bearings..jack up eash front tire..put hands at 12 and 6..wiggle, then 9 and 3 wiggle.. any movement in either position?

Clanking at slowing to stop. Not over bumps.
I had the strut bearings looked at to.-toddster

I personaly did not put them in, I should ask my mechanic how tight he put them in.
I had them installed when they put the new tranny in.-toddster

I'd say check bearings, tie rods and strut bearings...but clanking..it'* a guess...
