we are having an off-forum discussion (opps) about how I might have accidentally run leaded race fuel. I haven't noticed a big drop in mileage, no o2 codes. I thought running leaded would have taken out my o2 sensor being it'* age (original).
If I did run a gallon or two of leaded, how long would the effects show up in the oil? It'* been 1 oil change from the last race.

Did you buy fuel at Woodburn Dragstrip, or the 76 in Albany?

yes, I got 5 gals at the 76 station

I sent someone (I think it was Cheetah) into town to get more, can't remember if I used any of it (someone else needed some) and don't remember if I got a gallon at the track.

Hell, I can't remember yesterday, don't make me remember that far back.

WoW!! Thats allot of mileage for a 97. I just didnt know you could have a chemical breakdown of whats in it.

As far as running leaded fuel for a race, I wouldnt even though it might give me the advantage over the competitor. I would be afraid of F'n something up!.

If I did run leaded race fuel it would have been by oversight or ****-up. I specifically ask for unleaded race fuel.

Oh I thought I heard someone say if you dont run much of it its okay but will cause problems and issues over time if you use allot of it.

Goes to show how much I know
