mrbell, It doesn't matter what Michigan thinks. It'* a FEDERAL law. Whether you have emissions or not. I don't have emissions in Oregon, but it'* still against FEDERAL Law to run without a Cat in any state of the union. Based on EPA regulations.
If you get caught without one, and someone wants to toss a book at you, the fines are a minimum of $2500. They start at $10k for the second offense.

common guys of course we all know its illegal, and by not using one u take the risk...so if thats what he wants then let him do it, im not saying its right or wrong, but if he wants to do it then he knows the consequences...u guys dont have to keep badgering him he knows the consequences and its up to him

wow, sorry it took me so long to write back, i've been on 14 hour days...and the girlfriend.... Bill I found that maganaflow for under 100bucks, so I think i'm just gonna buy a new one. And whoever doesn't wanna run without a cat you're an a-hole. The enviroment is bad enough as it is. Bad Karma if you ask me

I am from MI and I am an *******......lol.....I am getting mine to vanish......like my mom did on here 95 park ave......and do you know why people in MI get them cut????? Cause we are all broke and dont have any jobs......lol..........I know like 3,000+ cars in my city that would fail so bad if we had inspections.......ohh and there is an inspection in MI.....if you are on WELFAIR they will sometimes give you money to buy a car 1200 I think....and the car has to be inspected before they will cut the check......but its free....

how do you guys that changed you CATs hook them up, do you take it somewhere and have them weld it?
