When I hit the gas I LOSE RPM'*. It'* really weird if I lighty hit the gas just enough to make my car go it'* ok doesn't want to really change gears. I really can't go above 35mph. She is toping out at around 50mph. Driving up hills Forget it. I can't even beat a stock ricer  ! It sounds like my exhauset is bottle necking... However I took it in and my cat and muffler have been ruled out. Anyideas....

Also for anyone who is in Southern California I need a decent machanic anyone know anyone? Thanks! :D

Possibly an ignition control module, or bad ignition coils. Have them tested.

Yes, get a second opinion on your convertor. What you describe sounds very much like it'* clogged. How exactly did the first place rule out the convertor as the source of your problems, anyway? (They need to get a little more scientific than just thumping on it: an intake manifold vacuum test, maybe, or just disconnect it temporarily and test-drive the car around the block.)

Kicking the cat may give an indication. If you hear anything rattling, replace it. Also pull a couple plugs and inspect them. If any are fouled, it usually indicates an ignition problem. Check for spark at all 6. These problems are rarely caused by fuel delivery failures.

Oddly enough... I fixed the problem, supposedly, that I posted about.. it was the fuel filter... but now I have a check Engine light and bascially the same problem again... They thought I had since my Filter was Massive Backed up is maybe me replacing my fuel filter made some of the pressure be relieved and fuel go back and over whelm my fuel pump. But I checked it today nothing... I'm thinking you guys are right and it'* either a vacum problem or a coil.

Retrieve the codes and tell us what you have.

This is Harly_ Qun'* grease monkey talking. I have replaced the Idle Control Valve, and the O2 Sensor. We put in a new Throttle Position Sensor, but when it didn't fix the problem, we returned it. It doesn't seem to be a bad spark seeing as the plugs/wires are all brand new and the timing doesn't seem to be off. We took the car down to Midas for a free examination of the Cat and they say it'* fine, so no problems there (Why would they pass on our good american money?). We checked all the vacuum hoses but their just fine and the vacuum pressure is constant. Her SES light is coming on randomly and it seems more frequent after the new O2 sensor was installed.

So, long story short, the car is idling very rough and stalls out when stopped, while driving if you floor it the car seems starved for oxygen or like it'* running lean. The more gas you give it, the less power you get.

I'm not very used to working on injected cars so you'll have to be easy on the tech terms, I was raised on N/A Chevys so all this FI **** is annoying to me. It feels like I'm having to learn how to work on cars all over again.

What codes are you getting from it?

Use the link provided above, and go through that process. Probably save you a lot of money and time.
