another tranny question
i know you guys are probably tired of tranny questions but i have one anyway. I looked through all of the posts 555 of them and my question never really got answered. we just went on a trip to bolivar MO from bloomfield MO its about 250 miles one way. On the way the car drove fine except when going uphill on a fairly steep slope the tranny would jerk when trying to unlock the convertor. The car would cruise at 1800 or so rpm at 65ish mph then would buck when the convertor would try to unlock you could put it in drive and it would do fine. it gave a 39 and a 54 code when i did the paperclip on it to retreive the codes. 39 is the tcc problem and 54 is egr fault sol. #2.
the car is a stock '93 ssei with most all options.
any imput is greatly appreciated and sorry for being long winded.

You're EGR fault could be the culprit all in itself. If the engine isn't running at optimum effienciency like the PCM was set up for...you will run into "bucking" problems like this.
Also could maybe be ignition...but unlikely seeing how you have codes pulled already.

I believe you have 2 problems. Clean and lube the EGR solonoids.
Have the trans diagnosed professionally. Or have it flushed professionally and see if it helps. TCC solonoids don't last forever.
