Actually the factory restriciiton on the Taurus SHO'* was the exhaust, so if you change it out, they make 300hp quickly. Remember, the SHO'* engines we made by Yamaha, not Ford so they make more poewr and they last a long time. But the rest of the car is still Ford quality..... not much I should have to add to that. Finding a SHO is not that hard. I dont know SpeedyGuy, I will be impressed when you post takes up one whole Forum page and I have to hit next to finish the pots, that will be impressive.

being a Taurus everything on a SHO breaks except the engine.
the engine requires a large amount of maintenance every 60k too...pita
I wanted a SHO for a while, was thinking of selling my Bonnie for one, but everyone that I've talked to that owned one called it a money pit. right now I need a car that will get me from point A to point B, and if that means sacrificing a second or two in quarter mile time...so be it.
as for racing the minivan, it might be close off-the-line, but once you get going I doubt there will be any contest. my parents have a 3.8L Caravan, it has a little more power (180hp/240ftlbs) and is geared shorter, so in 1st gear it could probably go neck and neck with my car. but after that, it falls on its face. the only minivan out there that might be able to give us a good race is the 240hp honda oddesey.

I'll agree on the SHO show. I have a friend, a real gear-head, had one of 'em. Loved it when it ran, but the maintenance was killing him. He got rid of it in less than a year.

Actually just incase you took me seriously I never did that except for that joke. I just have alot to say and have dug alot to find stuff for our cars. That said most of my original posts have been 4-5 times as long as most so if I just shut up and waited for each reply to post my next thought or idea I would be in the 800'*. Lol I also don’t have a 9-5 job or the restrictions that come with it. I also am sooo excited about being able to research and find or create products for the Bonneville. I wish I had pursued this hobby along time ago.
Ok well it looks like the great demigod has taken care of the suspense issue by cutting my tail (stars) off. LOL. Personally it would be no fun otherwise. 500 here I come.
