Alignment/balance problem after transmission rebuild
1996 SSE, L36, Series II, 4T60-E trans.
Had a reputable shop remove, rebuild and replace transmission. Picked it up yesterday afternoon and it performed perfectly around town. Shifts great, pulls smooth, no problems. Put it on the interstate and the front end started shaking from 62-70 MPH. It seems like an alignment or tire balance problem that was caused by the transmission rebuild. This is a new problem that I did not have prior to the rebuild. I put a new pair of tires on the front and did a 4 wheel alignment 7 months ago and it drove perfectly.
I suspect that the struts were knocked out of alignment during the transmission rebuild.
What do you think?
